Comment from Tristan: Ayrshire Kitchen and Dining
This was a really great project – Ayrshire Kitchen and Dining 🙂 The new extension needed a kitchen, dining space and an informal seating space for the family. The long bank of units was the perfect solution to accommodate all the appliances, boiler and storage. Then in front we had the very stylish island complete with 6 burner induction hob, moulded Corian sink and boiling water tap. The island provided more storage but also makes a real statement with Corian downstands and the unique shape that we created.
We also designed a TV media station made out of kitchen product. This is becoming more popular and looks amazing within the final space.
The main challenge here was to design a room, not just a kitchen, so proportions had to be spot on. The kitchen had to be big enough without overpowering the room. The dinning space needed to be able to stretch and accommodate 8 for special occasions. Finally the room had to be able to transform from functioning kitchen to weekend party hub for all the family. I think it ticks all the boxes 🙂
